Syncdocs 6.962 Power User Google Drive App Released
We are pleased to announce the latest version of Syncdocs, version 6.962. This is a minor update.
- This release contains updates to the disk interface API, so it will work on the new ReFS file system on Windows 10.
- Also included is the latest Google Drive API to stay compatible and secure with Google’s updates to Drive, security and Photos.
NET 4.5 update might be required
This release will require .NET 4.5 due to Google TLS (SSL) security improvements. These crypto libraries are not in .NET 3.5 or .NET 4.
.NET 4.5 was released five years ago in August 2012, so your computer should have it installed. If it is not installed, Syncdocs will prompt for its installation, and take you to the .NET 4.5 installation page.
Those still running Windows 2000, XP SP2 or less, or Server 2003 can download it from here:

How to Update
The upgrade is free and will happen automatically. The old Syncdocs version should ask if you want to update automatically in the next few days.
To update now, right click on the Syncdocs taskbar icon, go to Preferences -> Advanced -> “Check for Updates”.
You can also download the new version and install it over the old one.
You can also download the 64 bit and portable (USB memory stick) versions are also updated to version 6.692.
The portable versions now contain a link to the update files, as portable versions do not auto-update as they could be running from a USB memory stick.
