Hi, First, let me say thanks for doing this. SyncDocs has enabled me in a big way towards having a cleaner 'connected' lifestyle.
So here's my issue,
The Context:
I have a home media center that runs some scheduled operations (aka, regularly downloading RSS feeds, podcasts, downloading financial statements etc...) Other than that, I don't really do many large updates to my files via that computer. It's just serves as my 'always on' source for regular transactions.
I also have a laptop which I take everywhere and do the bulk of my document updates & document retrieval.
I've setup both of them with SyncDocs in the exact same preferences configuration, and with all three sync options checked (PC->Google,Google->PC,Renames&Deletes)
The Issues:
1. I've noticed that whenever SyncDocs runs on both systems it's pretty much impossible to delete, move, or rename a file. Instead, the action takes place, and then moments later the original document pops into GoogleDocs (presumably from the other Synced machine) Any effort to delete this unnecessary duplicate file via GoogleDocs or the SyncDocs local folder is irrelevant, as the document will just keep getting sent by my 3rd source (my local desktop).
2. In addition to this, I've noticed that having the 3 sources tends to really dirty-up my GoogleDocs by creating a lot of .organize collections & a lot of .!<filename>.jpg files which look like it's a screenshot of the heading of some of the documents in my collections.
Possible Resolutions
Give up on the 'Desktop Syncing' -> I'm about ready to do this & just have my laptop sync to the cloud. Certainly acceptable, but my objective was to guarantee my scheduled updates via a source that is always on (whereas my laptop isn't necessarily on at the scheduled times)
Anyways, let me know your thoughts and if there are any resolutions I might be able to take.
Thanks again for the product & effort!
