Help on Google Drive sync

   Hi ,

   Just started using Syncdocs. Already i had a google docs account and the files were 80% in sync before i started using this.

   I find that in my google docs collections there are many "images" folders created - when none exist in my local.

   However, on my local there is an documents sub-folder under which i have chapter 1,2,3 etc sub-folders and inside each of these there are image sub-folders.

   Why is it not creating the proper folder structure (in google docs) in this case? Thanks.

   update to above

   i just noticed that all the files and folders being synced are put in Root collection (no structure in google docs) but on my local (PC) there IS a proper folder structure :(

   Hi,
   Sometimes the Google Docs 'show all' and home options can look like everything is in the root, when it actually isn't.

   What do you see when you click on "My collections" in Google Docs?

   If it is still wrong, please send us some screenshots of local and Google filesystem, through the link here and we'll look into it.

   @Nigel - I think we found your bug. Were you re-arranging on Google docs while Syncdocs was also uploading?

   Phill, u may be right. i was not rearranging at same time but myybe a few minutes earlier.

   one thing i did not follow: u said this is a know issue with 0.57 and IS fixed in Next release? i cant find any next release.

   The next release is not out yet, and even though this bug is rare, it is serious. So we'll release in the next day or two with a fix.

   After restarting it , it worked correctly for quite a while. However, in between it again began putting stuff DIRECTLY in root.
   And im pretty sure this time i had not moved around any thing in google docs.

   Downloaded 0.58 but the issue is still there.

   i.e. it randomly puts some files / folders in root
   (many of the files it puts in the correct place)

   this is WithOut changing anything either in google docs or my local drive

   i am keeping google docs open to the "all items" while syncdocs runs to monitor where it puts files.

    im dissapointed.

    noticed today that it duplicates docs as well (besides continuing to put into the root folder)

    @nigelfer, in the "Home" and "All items" view Google docs does not show a tree-view by default.

    We'd like to understand what you are seeing and help you fix it. Can you send us a screen-shot of your Google Docs screen as well as your error log as described here:

    phill, im aware of that.

    in the "All items" view i filter using "not in any collection" to see if any items are in root (of course i can also see that directly because of the collection name right next to the document)

    i always clean up my google docs after syncdocs has put items in root (i delete root items) but next time i face issue, i will send the screenshot.

    i do see some errors in log (they look unrelated to this issue) but let me send that over.

    Hi I am running the latest release of syncdocs and have just done a sync found that i have LOTS of files now possibly duplicated in the root. How am I am supposed to fix this without deleting files that may or may not exist in collections?
