I have setup SyncDocs to sync only certain collections in Google Docs.

This is mostly working - however, I am finding it is syncing all docs that are not allocated to a collection in Google Docs. There does not seem to be a switch to stop it doing that.

As a workaround I have set up an 'Unallocated' collection in Google Docs (that is not setup to sync) and dragged everything that is unallocated into that.

It would be easier not to have to do that and to have the option of switching off syncing for any documents not in collections in Docs.

It's been a very common request and we've just added that feature to the latest beta version 1.49.

Go to Preferences -> "Selective Folder Sync" and uncheck "Sync files in top level Google folder (root)".

Perhaps we should call the option "sync items not in collections" ?

Good deal!! (What a nightmare otherwise!)This will stop syncing just non-collection files? Right, wrong?

Yes, if you uncheck the option "Sync files in top level Google folder (root)" then files in the root (those files not in any collection) will not be synced.

If Yes means right, Alright >> I see this referred-to check box.

From first hand experience, I do need to ask: What does "Sync files in top level Google folder (root)" fully entail? e.g. in part: A "top level Google folder (root)" means? Etc.

@diligent: it means files that have no parent collection on Google.

These files have not been put in any collection (folder), so Google show them in the top level (folder called root)

Thanks Phil, OK. Cause I got a lot of parent folder recopied parent folders with many (though diminishing as the url extended)files included. GASP! I need to breath!
