Hi Phil, thanks for the quick response.
I think I have sorted it out. Certainly it looks like I have managed to clear out all my documents (including music files) from Google Docs and a sync with SyncDocs no longer brings them down.
The problem is with Google Docs I think...basically when I deleted all the items previously (or so I thought) via the web interface, they were no longer visible in the 'My Collections', 'Collections shared with me' or the 'Owned by me' folders...but I have since found out that they still resided in the 'All Items' list, which is strange.
The annoying thing with this, is that when I look at the list of items in the 'All items' list and tick the top checkbox to select all the items, then move to trash, it reports that it has moved 100 items and the list is cleared...fine...but little did I know that I had to refresh the page (F5) for the other items that were still in the 'All Items' folder to be shown...I then had to move these to trash, click F5 and repeat over and over again to get rid of everything...wouldn't it be simple for Google to show / detect how many items are left in the folder and do a refesh if some remain?
...I tried the F5 & repeat delete process with IE and Chrome, with the new and old looks and the behaviour is the same. So I guess the problem resides with deleting things from collections...they don't always seem to get properly deleted and are no longer marked as being owned by me....maybe owned by the system, who knows?
It looks like the Google web interface and deletion process leaves a lot to be desired.
I was 'this' close to ditching Google Docs / Syncdocs and moving to Dropbox or something similar...I will play about with deleting items and folders over the next few weeks and see if the problem is repeatable.
Thanks again,
Chris.
