We are happy to announce the latest version of Syncdocs, version 6.995.
The main change is a fix for Google no longer supporting Internet Explorer during account setup or account permission authorization.
We have also updated the libraries to stay up-to-date with other Google changes.
How to Update
The upgrade is free and will happen automatically. The old Syncdocs version should ask if you want to update automatically in the next few days.
To update now, right click on the Syncdocs taskbar icon, go to Preferences -> Advanced -> “Check for Updates”.
You can also download the new version and install it over the old one.

Portable Google Drive Sync and forced 64 bit version
The 64 bit and portable (USB memory stick) versions are also updated to version 6.995 and can also be downloaded from http://www.syncdocs.com/download-syncdocs
The portable versions now contain a link to the update files, as portable versions do not auto-update as they could be running from a USB memory stick.
.NET 4.5 update might be required
This release will require .NET 4.5 due to Google TLS (SSL) security improvements. These crypto libraries are not in .NET 3.5 or .NET 4.
.NET 4.5 was released six years ago in 2012, so your computer should have it installed. If it is not installed, Syncdocs will prompt for its installation, and take you to the .NET 4.5 installation page.
Legacy version for Windows XP
Those still running Windows 2000, XP SP2 or lower, or Server 2003 can download the .NET update from here:
