I hope I'm not asking something that has been asked and answered - I did search for 'multiple' and 'accounts' but didn't find what I was looking for.

I have multiple Google Apps Accounts, and I would like to sync multiple folders (one folder per Google Apps Account) at the same time.

Is this possible?

As a test, I've set up two accounts in SyncDocs, and 'switched' between the two, it appears to sync only the selected account.

What about two instances of Syncdocs running at the same time, using the command line -u parameter? Is that possible?

Hi Kyle,
Unfortunately, right now Syncdocs has no elegant way to sync multiple accounts concurrently.

Syncdocs only allows one running copy per user, to simplify the right click context menu from asking which account to sync to with uploads, shares and views.

The -u option can be used as a hack, if you put something like this in a batch file loop to cycle through you accounts:

syncdocs –OnlyRunSyncOnce -u user1@gmail.com
syncdocs –OnlyRunSyncOnce -u user2@gmail.com

I've moved this topic to feature requests to see how popular it is. If there are many requests, we will add the feature to Syncdocs.

Yes, I would love this feature. Because my company uses google apps and i got my own personal account. I need to sync both my personal docs and also official docs.

Being able to seamlessly sync between different gmail accounts would be a great additional feature.

I'd like this feature as well. I did notice in this other thread (http://www.syncdocs.com/forums/topic.php?id=163#post-798) that you can set up a sync for two different accounts, with the separate accounts accessing a separate folder. It just looks like SyncDocs forces you to choose which one will be synced at any given time.

In addition to the request Kylet has posted I have some other questions.

More company orientated;

What if you want to have files/folders accessible by several people and you want these to be synced to multiple google account.

EG:
Folder_One belongs to me and should only be available to and synced with me.
Folder_Two should be available to and synced with all members of Group_A and Group_B
Folder_Three should only be available to and synced with members of Group_A and
Folder_Four should only be available to and synced with members of Group_B

Would it be possible to realize this if you'd create several syncdocs accounts and conditionally grant access to these accounts to the different individuals and/or group members?

I could definitely use this as well. I have two Google accounts (actually even more) and need to keep different files that are totally un-related (i.e. work/civic stuff/personal stuff) and don't feel good commingling them.

The new version of Syncdocs actually supports this. We haven't announced it as we're still getting feedback and writing some docs.

To use it:
1. Download and install this version
2. In the Preferences -> Account Tab there are two new buttons, marked "Make Shortcut" and "Use Now"
3. Select the other account you want to use.
4. "Use Now" runs that other account concurrently when you press the button.
5. "Make shortcut" makes a shortcut (on your desktop, but you can move it where you want). This shortcut runs the other account.
You'll see a different colored shortcut icon on the taskbar for this other account.
You can have as many accounts running concurrently as you wish.

Let us know what think. Suggestions/criticism is welcome, as the user interface is not final yet.

There's also a wizard button which makes creating new accounts a bit easier.

I have information in my computer that I want to Sync the problem is that I have it in to many folders and diferent drivers How could I Sync all tha information?

try the "Add folders" option in Preferences->Folders->Select and add the folders you want to sync.

You can add as many folders as you wish. So just add all the folders you want to sync.

Maybe I didn´t explain myself (please excuse me my english is not as good as I would like)
I know I can have several files but always under one principal File like this:

A)Google Docs
1.- File 1
2.- File 2 etc on and on

But what do I have to do if I want to sync files in diferente drivers of my computer for example 4 files from driver C:/ and 3 more from driver F:/ etc

You can sync individual folders from different drives, but not individual files. The files need to be in folders you select.

So you can select:
c:\folder1
c:\folder2
f:\folder3
f:\topfolder\afolder\folder6

Hello,

How to make two copies of Syncdocs to run when Windows starts up? I've tried all combinations: placed the two shortcuts in a Autostart folder, alternately checked "Start with Windows Startup" options in Preferences (for both copies of Syncdocs and for each one), but only the one copy of the program is loaded after Windows starts.

Additionally. Default My Google Docs folder keeps reappearing in the Favourite Links, although I renamed folders for both accounts (and now I have not 2 but 3 folders).

I'll look into why dragging multiple shortcuts to the Startup folder does not work.

A quick and not so elegant fix is to run the following batch file at startup:
syncdocs.exe -u user1@gmail.com
syncdocs.exe -u user2@gmail.com

It seems I've found some kind of solution: cheked 'Start with Windows' in preferences for both accounts and drag just one of them to Autostart.
