My setup consists of two machines, machine A gets a full sync of all folders (home machine) and machine B syncs a subset of the folders (work machine).
A few issues:
1) When a collection is moved in GDocs online the contents are moved and synced correctly everywhere, but syncdocs leaves the empty folder on one or both machines which on the next sync causes GDocs online to show a new empty collection at the old collection location. This may be some sort of race condition with the removal/sync process. If you move the contents from the client it seems to work ok.
2) I've played with the "Preferences->Sync->Sync new files and folders..." setting. It appears if I turn if off I don't get new files even for folders that I've explicitly selected for syncing on machine B. I'd like machine B to get new files in the subset of folders selected, but not new folders at the root level. The scenario here is if I make a new folder for my diet, I don't need to see that on a work machine. But if I make a new file inside a work folder from home, I'd like that to sync on machine B.
3) When I use "Preferences->Sync->Select" to add or remove folders. Added folders are synced just fine, but if I unselect a previously synced folder I think I should be offered the option of removing the local folder. Maybe a pop up asking if I'd like to remove it, and if I decline advising me that that folder will remain but no long sync with the online services. I've had to make a backup copies just in case and test deleting the local files and see what happened. This action/result should be more defined.
