If you're getting a lot of zero byte downloads, it is a problem in the last few hours on various Google servers worldwide.

This is causing problems for users who sync across multiple PCs.
Until it fixed, I recommend that you close or pause Syncdocs to avoid possible file corruption if Google has hassles coming back online.

It seems that the problem is limited to Google Servers exporting .pdf files and files that have not been converted to Google's own format.
If you convert everything on upload then this issue doesn't effect you.
If you do not convert, or upload file types that Google cannot edit, you need to wait for a Google fix. In the meantime, exit or pause Syncdocs in case of possible file corruption when Google's servers have problems when coming back online.

This issue re-occurred briefly yesterday.
Here's how to recover from it if you were syncing new files when it occurred:
1. Exit Syncdocs by right clicking on the taskbar icon and selecting 'Exit'
2. Delete the 0 byte files in Windows Explorer
3. Re-run Syncdocs, it will re-download all the 0 byte files you just deleted but at their real size.
