Trouble Syncing 2 Different Computers but with the Same Google Docs Acct

Hello:
My business partner and I both have a syncdocs account. We have it set to sync to the same google docs account. We are able to sync most of the files and folders and have the same reflected on each of our local files on our computers.

However, the problem comes with one of us wants to delete a file. If I delete one file on my local syndocs folder, the file is deleted until the next sync until it shows up again in my local file. This is presumably because the file isn't deleted in my partner's local file and then when a sync occurs, the file shows back up in my local file.

Help please. Thanks in advance.

There can be various causes of this problem. Here are some things to check:
1. Have you disabled the syncing of deletions in renames. Look in the Preferences -> "Sync" tab to see.
2. Are these files that you delete in the same folder? You can check by deleting the file locally, and then seeing if it gets deleted online.
3. Sometimes, Syncdocs does not detect deletions made by another account. This is normally caused by Windows permission problems. Try the "Run as Administrator" shortcut in the Syncdocs start menu group.

Thanks Phil. I will try those suggestions. Also, what is the effect of adding my partner's google doc's account (user name and password) under Preferences/Account Management?

If you add your partner's account you can sync it too (normally to another folder). Most people in your situation normally share files or folders with each other, and don't need multiple accounts.

My partner and I both of "unchecked" the syncing of deletions, renames, etc in the "Sync" tab. However, when I delete a file in my local syndocs folder, then run a sync, the deleted file re-appears in the same position as it was in the local folder. I assume, this is because the file is not deleted in my partner's local sync docs folder, and then when I force a sync, the file is picked back up.

Any other suggestions?

Also, can you describe how to "run as admin" in the syncdocs menu group?

If you un-check syncing of deletions and renames, then deletions will not be synced. This option needs to be checked to sync deletions.

If you look online, using a web browser, is the file deleted?

To run as Adminstrator, click on the Start Menu, then Syncdocs, then "Run Syncdocs as Admin"

Ok. Both my partner have checked the syncing of deletions.

Yes, the document that I am trying to delete remains in the browser (Google Drive webpage). I have tried deleting it in the browser and local folder, but it continues to show up. It also looks like it is showing up in multiple instances (as in like 6 duplicate files) on the browser.

As for the Administrator, both my partner when to Start -> Syndocs -> Properties -> Security. The we click on Administrator under the group. However, there doesn't appear to be a difference in the permissions, so I cannot click the "apply" button.

Let me know what other suggestions you have.

It sounds like you have many copies of the same file, Syncdocs only deletes one at a time.
What sort of file is it?

If you want to remove all by the latest copy of this file, Syncdocs can remove duplicates by doing this:
1. Click on the taskbar menu, and then the free space ("20% of 5GB used") menu
2. Click on the "Trash Duplicates" button on the bottom left.
3. Let Syncdocs sync...
