I want to run SyncDocs on a pc without being logged on. I have tried to run SyncDocs via the Windows Task Manager but that wasn't a succes.
Is it possible to run SyncDocs from the Windows Task Manager OR as a Windows service?

Syncdocs is not a Windows service, so you can't run it as one. The reason for this is that it needs to hook into the Windows desktop.
The free Microsoft svrany utilities can be used to run it as a service, but you won't see any desktop notifications. There are also other paid utilities like AlwaysUp that do the same thing.
What are you trying to achieve, do you just want it to start before login?
We may compile Syncdocs as a service in future if there is enough interest, so I've moved this post to "feature requests".
I tried to run Syncdocs as a service with Microsoft svrany. It did run as service but did not sync. Also tried other freeware service tools that gave the same result.
What I am trying to achieve is that documents placed in a local map get synced without the user actually being logged in.
I have not tried srvany with syncdocs but with other programs I did, I check the checkbox "allow service to interact with desktop" to solve similar problems.
I am looking at the possibility of using syncdocs to replace our online backup service (mainly because of the price of storage which is about 96.5% cheaper on google). It would make a lot more sense that it can run in the background on my file server, instead of having to be logged in.
Thanks.
The only problem I had with this software so far is that it doesn't handle local moves properly, it puts the original gdocs version in trash (including attached revisions) and re-uploads it. I was told that this is due to a bug in google docs, I hope this bug was already fixed or that there is a workaround.
P.S. I see this topic is also discussed here: http://www.syncdocs.com/forums/topic.php?id=25
Google have fixed the bug in Docs in December, but we found it unreliable in testing, so the change to Syncdocs was not released.
It is an very important feature though, so we'll take another look at it, and see if there is a way to replicate local moves more efficiently.
Thanks Phil.
Any news on syncdocs service?
SyncDocs is a service, it provides as a server for transferring files between computers or other applications on a i Phone. The operating system of these devices isolates each applications into own space. Many latest versions are available in the market.
