If I have a shared folder on a windows computer and syncdocs installed on a different computer, can I sync that share? I have tried adding the shared folder to syncdocs, but it doesn't show up, and all that happens is what looks like an alert window opening and immediately closing.
Sync Windows shared folder from another computer?(2 posts) (2 voices)
Yes, you should just be able to right click on the folder and select "Upload to Google Drive" and it should sync.
Some things to check that can stop this from happening:
1. Some DLink NAS boxes don't follow the Windows file share (SMB) rules properly, and may not work reliably.
2. Your file system needs to be NTFS and not FAT32.
3. You need permissions to read the folder, and to write to your local drive. Try running Syncdocs "As Administrator" and see if you still have the problem.
