First off I really like this program. It's what I have been looking for, for months.
Only one question ....
How do you get the sync program to put everything in the correct google docs folder.
On my computer I have
C:\quotes\A-Z
C:\quotes\2010
C:\quotes\2011
C:\quotes\quotes to PO

When I sync to google .. it made 4 new folders. A-Z, 2010, 2011, and Quotes to PO. I already had the quotes folder and subfolders in google. Is there a way to sync folder to folder/subfolder?

Yes, but you'll need the latest version of Syncdocs from our download page.

Once you've installed it, you'll need the following setup.
1. I assume you're syncing the default folder C:\My Documents\My Google Docs. If you are syncing c:\quotes as your root, then you'll need to change it.
2. In Preferences->Folders click on "Select"
3. Click on "Add folder", and select c:\quotes

You're done.
(Note you might need to click the "Advanced options..." button in step 2 if you don't see a Folders tab)

Thanks for the quick response. I thought I had the latest version as I just installed it 2 weeks ago. Will check when I get to my computer in the morning.

And yes I am syncing from another drive, E:\common\quotes

Downloaded latest version v1.23 from website, installed, rebooted. I get an error message when I click "add a folder" to sync. It shows

Syncdocs needs a NFTS file system to add folders. Your HD is most like an older FAT.

My computer is using NTFS and the shared folder is also using NTFS.

Any suggestions?

Program works great other than this. Syncs everything I want just would like to get it into a subdirectory.

Not sure why Windows says you don't have NTFS if you do. Are the folders local or on a network share?

Please send us the error log and we'll look into it.

Log has been sent. Folders are on a network. My computer and server are both NTFS.

Hi,
The problem is caused by a Windows limitation on what is known as UNC paths. The UNC path is typically a path of the form \\SERVERNAME\ShareName

Windows identifies these as network drives and not NTFS, and gives the error "Object must be a root directory (\"C:\\\") or a drive letter (\"C\")."

We'll fix this in the next release of Syncdocs, until then this feature will only work if your main Syncdocs folder is in a path with a drive letter.

The problem is not yet fixed for the case where UNC paths are the main synced folder.
