As the only way I can uncheck a folder is to wait until it is backed up, it creates issues for whenever I don't want it sync'd (like the subfolder with all my picasa photos)
1. Start sync'ing
2. notice that it is sync'ing a folder you want to ignore
3. go into preferences and uncheck it.
4. Go into Google docs and move it in the trash
5. after syncdocs gets going again, watch it reappear.
So its a feature? I hadn't really thought of it that way. I was using it more as a "backup" solution, pointing it to an existing folder and only checking "Upload local files to Google", much like you would with Picasa.
Using it that way, I guess, then you should gray out the "Selective Folder Sync" section when only "Upload local files to Google" is selected, as otherwise it sends a confusing message.
although I know how adding features drags out development, it would be nice to be able to select local folders (although to do so you probably would have to support nested folders x levels deep).
Also as you would be able to deselect Google folders *and* local folders, it might get confusing unless it had a revamped dialog, and inventoried all the folders *before* sync'ing began.
