When I go into preferences and select folders to sync, under the Shared With Me folders there are a bunch of folders that show up that are not showing up in Google Drive when I go to Shared With Me in Google Drive. Does anyone have any ideas? There are about 10 extra folders that show.
Mysterious Folders Showing Up(4 posts) (3 voices)
These folders might be hidden in Google Drive. You can tell Syncdocs not to sync hidden folders in the Folders tab in the Preferences menu.
Another cause is if you have been using Google Drive for a long time (since it was called Google Docs) these might be legacy folders from the Google Docs system.
I have that option to not sync hidden folders but they still show up. When logging into Google Drive these folders do not exist but they show up in Syncdocs. I wish I knew how to get rid of them.
They may also be folders others have shared with you, or legacy Google Docs folders.
You can check who the owner of the folder is in the Google Drive web interface by right clicking on the folder and then clicking on "View Details".
If they are shared, you can tell Syncdocs not to sync shared folders, but clicking on Preferences->Folders->Select-> uncheck "Sync new files and folders shared to me by others" or simply by unchecking the folders that you don't want synced.
