After using the trial version for about 30 minutes I just purchased Syncdocs. It is EXACTLY what I needed, and found it out after I tried several other Google Drive clients.
What I was trying to achieve was simple but complicated (lol).
I have both a desktop and a laptop. Both computers have a D:\ drive in which I store different folders. Obviously, these folders needed to reside out of the "main" local Google Drive folder. Many desktop clients support symlinks (which the offical Drive doesn't) but they lack a feature I needed.
I wanted to create several symlinks in both the local gdrive folder on the laptop, and the local gdrive folder on the desktop (with the same name), pointing to their respective D:\ location.
Every other app creates two differente folders. One from the symlink created on the desktop and another for the symlink created on the laptop, preventing me to achieve what I wanted.
Syncdocs has an option to "allow duplicate filenames on Google" which if disabled, helps me to accomplish what I wanted: The symlinks on the desktop look like the same symlinks on the laptop for Google Drive. So no more duplicated folders. And now If I modify a file in D:\Folder1 on the desktop, it gets synchronized to Google Drive using the symlink, and again on the laptop it syncs using the symlink to D:\Folder1 on the laptop.
Thank you for your great effort. I am VERY happy to support your development. Congrats!
