I have several data sheets that receive data all day long, but never update locally. The sync runs all day, but never catches the data. I have to literally go into each Google Doc online and change the font for each workbook and then it will catch. Checked settings all looks good. I have been using Syncdocs for years and this happened awhile back as well, but not as bad. It seemed to fix itself up until a few months ago.
Google Forms Being Submitted But Not Syncing Locally(4 posts) (2 voices)
This is puzzling. So Syncdocs only detects changes to the layout of the sheet, and not to the data?
Are you syncing the form data sets as .csv or .xlsx files?
Also, if you load the form in Google Drive in a web browser has the form data updated?
Thanks Phil. Yes and no on the format of the Data. It seems to only sync when I make changes to the file. If I delete records allow Docs to save and close, it will update. Yes, if a form is submitted the data updates on the sheet. I can even see it live if someone submits a form while I am in the sheet. Files are saved locally as .xlsx. Another thing I just did today was create some scripting on my local machine that kills all the files I sync and the the Syncdocs not to delete in GDocs. Once the are killed (deleted) within moments Syncdocs replaces them locally and updated data. This is my work around for now so I can have fresh data every 30 minutes. I have tried an uninstall and deleted all traces of Syncdocs and re-install and still the same thing. Just odd that it was going so smoothly until recently.
It is strange. Google have been making changes to their back end recently, but I'm not sure if this is the problem.
You could also try resetting the Syncdocs cache, which might be corrupted. You do this by clicking on the "Default Settings" button in the Advanced tab in the preferences. Note that this will reset all your settings except your credentials, so you might have to re-set up folders, sync options etc afterwards.
Please let me know how it goes.
