I don't seem to have a 'documents' folder, and am getting this message. I do, however, have a 'Google Drive' folder.

How should I go about fixing this?
Help on Google Drive sync
Ok, I think I got this fixed by setting it to sync to where my Drive folders are located (folder where Drive desktop app automatically stores files): https://www.dropbox.com/s/i37i2iyk8xgzave/preferences.JPG
Is it ok to sync to this folder, instead of the 'My Google Docs' folder that Syncdocs uses by default?
I think Syncdocs keeps adding a 'My Google Docs' folder shortcut to my desktop which I keep deleting. Is there any way to get it to stop dong this?
Yes, you can use any folder as the root, you don't need to select the default folder Syncdocs chooses. If you've already synced with Google Drive, a good choice is that folder, so the files don't need to be re-copied.
If you want to turn off the Desktop shortcut, right now, there's no user interface to change this setting, but if you're up to editing a config file then here's how:
1. Quit Syncdocs
2. Open this file in Notepad or another text editot
3. Search for the text "CreateDesktopShortCut"
4. Set the value to "false" instead of "true" and save the file.
5. Re-run Syncdocs
We may add this to the Preferences settings in future, as you're not the first person who has been annoyed by this.
By the way, if you also want to turn off "My Google Docs" appearing in your favourites, set "ShowInFavourites" to false.
So am I supposed to be using the Drive app AND the Syncdocs app? Or just the Syncdocs app?
I would guess that no, I should not be running both at the same time, since in the case where I set the Syncdocs Google Docs folder to be "C:\Users\Steve\Google Drive\", the same as the folder being used by the Drive desktop app, then Syncdocs and the Drive app would be making conflicting changes.
You are correct - do not run Syncdocs and Google Drive on the same Google account at the same time. They will try to mirror each others changes with Google Drive and sync these changes back, which will lead to unpredictable results.
