With full support to rpankoe and mredmond: Yes, I repeat, the ability to prevent specific folder creation is what is badly needed. Same thing applies when I want a folder for any collection of my GDocs online files that are both syncable to my local "my Google docs" folder. I should be able to choose such a folder including its name and opt to have it synced or not. Same with each and every local folder.
Yes, I want full and total control of each folder and file in each-every syncdocs phase >up to & down from GDocs, beginning with their creation & ending with their deletion. After all, these are my folders with files containing my personnel info, ya know!!
I do realize that Andrew, Phil and others at syndocs were trying to be helpful by the creation of these folders and their resulting syncing. Thanks for the kind thoughts you guys!
However, each such (or future similar) folder's existence should be an option of the user. In my case, I have sooooo many duplicated Folders along with their duplicated files therein, a simple everything search for one file or category turns into a literal tracking monster.
So it seems that syncdocs basic syncing functions may be working fine but what those functions operate on is the problem.
I want to decide what files and/or folders those functions operate on with regard to my personal information. It's not that I distrust syncdocs personnel. Do not get me wrong!
But my personnel information is being spread around various parts of internet and local information sources without my ability to control each aspect of the same.
I hope it is understood that the above statements are constructive in a positive nature.
My Best to all, with many smiles to Andrew & and Phil, along with syncdocs others. Diligent
