We are syncing a network drive and there are two sub-folders to which the syncing account does not have access. Currently it is throwing a blocking sync error. Is it possible for Syncdocs to skip folders to which the user doesn't have access?
Can Syncdocs skip restricted folders?(3 posts) (2 voices)
I've just run some tests, and Syncdocs just skips folders it has no access to and continues. I'm not sure why it isn't doing the same for you. What version of Windows are you running? Also what sort of server is the network drive on?
What message error does it show on the screen when it is blocking?
If you can, please send us the log file, in the Advanced Tab of the Preferences menu.
Thanks for the quick response, sorry for my slow follow up. I ended up moving the restricted folders to another location that isn't synced. I was getting a few different errors so perhaps this wasn't the blocking issue after all. The biggest problem I had was fixing the many cases where the file path on the network was too long.
